Fox & Lake Range roundup, day one: 96 wild horses captured on partly burned Nevada HMA

 

The Bureau of Land Management on Wednesday captured 96 wild horses during the first day of a helicopter roundup at the Fox and Lake Range Herd Management Area in Nevada.

BLM: 25 foals in Calif. corrals may have died of colitis

 

Preliminary results indicate that 25 foals held in a single pen at the Bureau of Land Management’s Litchfield Corrals may have died from colitis, or inflammation of the colon. BLM is waiting for results from additional blood and tissue samples that could point to the cause, according to a press release.
