Wildling Museum and Return to Freedom Collaborating on Exhibit Featuring Wild Horses
Solvang, CA ~ The Wildling Museum and Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary are excited to announce their collaboration on Wild Spirit: Horses in Art, an exhibition featuring wild horses in a variety of mediums. Paintings, photographs, drawings, and sculptures by historic and contemporary artists including Douglas Parshall, Edward Borein, Howard Warshaw, Anders Aldrin, Nancy Holly, Suzan Hamilton Todd, Pat Roberts, and more will be on view. Visitors will experience being amongst a herd of horses in Elissa Kline’s Ghost Herd installation. Nothing can compare to the natural beauty and spirituality of images of wild horses or better yet, real live wild horses. In 2015 visitors to the Central Coast of California can get both, by visiting the Wildling Museum in Solvang, CA as well as observing live wild horses at Return to Freedom Mustang Sanctuary near Lompoc, CA.
The exhibit will be on view from January 17, 2015 – June 1, 2015 at the Wildling Museum (1511-B Mission Drive, Solvang CA 93463). Save the date for special opening events on January 24-25, 2015. General admission is $5, children 16 and under are free, Wildling members are free; for more information visit www.wildlingmuseum.org or call 805-686-8315.
